Before their debut in 2011, they primarily sold leather goods through retail stores and outlets. However, since then, they’ve made an impact in the direct-to-consumer market by offering made-to-order shoes.
Searching for them online reveals numerous reviews and teardowns of their shoes on YouTube and other social media platforms. Initially, I was skeptical due to the price point, but after my son bought a pair and I reviewed the quality, I was quite impressed with the value for the price.
Given the abundance of articles written about Beckett Simonon shoes, I won’t add another one. However, all the reviews I’ve seen are favorable.
My son purchased a pair of Chelsea boots from Beckett Simonon, and he loves them. As a longtime wearer of Allen Edmonds, Church’s, Peal & Co (Brooks Brothers), and Alden, I was convinced of their quality after examining my son’s pair. Though the delivery time is nearly two months, the shoes are crafted in small batches, which allows Beckett Simonon to keep prices reasonable and prevent waste.
I plan to add a few to my collection and wear them with my bespoke and made-to-measure suits and slacks because I always enjoy looking sharp. Below is a video I found on YouTube. You can spend hours searching online for more.
I’ve reviewed several videos and, while the reviewers are reputable, you need to have the shoes in hand to appreciate what you’re getting. I enjoy going to Allen Edmonds, Alden, and Brooks Brothers because I can try on shoes. Fit is everything to me, and this will be my first venture into made-to-order shoes. I chose the video below because it features a cobbler by trade, whose review I found particularly insightful. BTW, I like his beard! My wife loves my beard, so I get it.
I’ve been a wearer of high-end classic clothing for 40 years before it became trendy on social media. Check out my posts, and when I get my shoes, I will post images online. You won’t see me on Instagram, X, or Facebook, but you will find me on Pinterest and my own Mastodon feed (I will provide the link here). Most of my followers attend my private events, which I will resume in the summer of 2025. I am not looking to educate the world, just a few like me who appreciate being well-dressed and mannered.
